Central Otago Lolo's Riesling

Rippon Lolo's Block Riesling was made to honour Lois Mills and her contribution to Rippon, and what a fitting tribute it is. Fruit for the Riesling was pristine. After sorting it was gently crushed by foot, pressed, and settled overnight, retaining the fine lees. Fermentation began with wild yeasts and finished after 24 days, with regular lees stirring. The result is a symphony of aroma and flavour, reflecting both the cool vineyard conditions and the considered winemaking. Ebullient notes of blossom, peach, citrus and zest meet superb acidity and an almost unctuous mouthfeel. A wine to savour slowly, now or in years to come.
